The Antique Airways Tiger Moth flights feel completely authentic – from the 1930s hangar, to the vintage aircraft and the pilots with over 40 years of piloting experience.
The Tiger Moth was designed as a primary trainer for World War 2. These sorts of planes were used to train all pilots in the Commonwealth before the pilots moved onto Fighters and Bombers.
After they had served their purpose in the war they were decommissioned and moved onto the civilian market where many were used by farmers as crop dusters in the 1950s and to train pilots by fledgling aero clubs. By the mid-1960s, most Tigers were retired, ending up in the hands of private owners and collectors.
Warwick attained his pilot licence in 1969 at the age of 19. He purchased his first Tiger Moth in 1973 at the age of 23 and received his Commercial Pilot Licence in the same year which saw him fly night freight, as well as fly trips to New Guinea. In 1982 he joined Trans Australian Airlines (TAA) as a pilot. Many years later, in November of 1996, Antique Airways was born.
Today Antique Airways celebrates over 2 decades of touring the skies over Moreton Bay Region and the Glass House Mountains.

The best time for booking North Brisbane scenic flights over Moreton Bay is undoubtedly during the annual humpback migration season from June to October. With over 18,000 whales making their way through our waters during this period, your chances of spying some of these majestic mammals of the deep are fairly high.
