The Wobbly Boot Craft Beer Tour is not just for wine lovers, it’s a Mountain Wine Tours experience catering to both wine connoisseurs and beer and cider aficionados – fine wines share centre-stage with imported and locally brewed beers and ciders on this tour.
Nothing pairs better with an ice-cold beer or cider than a succulent Black Angus Steak with homemade salad. If the thought of barbequed goodness doesn’t get your mouth watering, then the platter of fine cheeses should!
Tea and coffee are also included with lunch and light refreshments are served during your wine tasting Brisbane North travels.
If you haven’t journeyed in the Moreton Bay Region hinterland before, this tour will be a real treat, taking you through rural and forested areas, over rolling hills and along flats with the D’Aguilar Range providing a mountainous backdrop stretching from the outer western suburbs of Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland town of Mooloolah.
The hinterland delivers spectacular views of the lower lying bayside areas. On a beautiful day you can clearly see Moreton Island and even the high rises of Brisbane City.
True to its name, the D’Aguilar Range is made up of numerous mountains. Within our region you’ll find D’Aguilar’s Camp Mountain, Mount Nebo, Mount Pleasant, Mount Glorious, Mount Samson and Mount Mee. Many of the views can be enjoyed from inside a vehicle as you road trip through the area.
The drive through Samford up Mount Glorious and down Mount Nebo, or trip through Dayboro in the Mount Mee area are both scenically delightful and quite popular with weekend tourists and bikers. Mount Glorious and Mount Mee also offer several bushwalking tracks in the D’Aguilar National Park.
There’s many spots to stop and stretch your legs along your hinterland journey. The quaint country townships of Samford, Dayboro and Woodford are ideal choices to pull-over for a looksee and a bite to eat.
Please Note: Tours carry a maximum of 10 people to give you a genuine personal wine tour without the crowds.
Ray and Karen Hellsten launched their winery tour and wine tasting Brisbane North business in 2013 to provide personalised, informative and fun tours to share their love of wine with you, and show you the region they love, full of natural beauty and rich culture.
