Kids Dig it! Archaeology Family Fun Week

Keep the whole family entertained this spring school holidays with archaeology fun.

The Abbey Museum is putting on an event filled with activities and information about the archaeology these holidays, and what better way to spend a day than by learning and having fun at the same time.

If you’ve ever wondered what its like to be an archaeologist, or wondered what they do, there’s plenty of fascinating things to discover and experience at the Abbey Museum.

Activities like a mini archaeological dig, and Archery will keep energetic kids entertained.

Craft activities will focus on Mediterranean and Mesoamerican cultures, and include things that everyone will love, such as Archaeology in the lab, pottery restoration, midden study, coprolite investigation, paper crafts and much more.

These activities will be running throughout the holidays, with most of the activities included in the cost of admission, which is only $25 for 2 adults and up to 4 children, so if you’re looking for a fun, affordable, school holiday activity, The Abbey Museum has it covered.
