Picnic at Pemberley

The perfect, elegant picnic you’ve been dreaming of is coming up this September. Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy requests your company at A Picnic at Pemberley.

In their stunning grounds, the Abbey Museum and Church will be hosting an afternoon of nibbles, dancing, and games.

Bring your own picnic lunch or pre-purchase a hamper to enjoy in the gardens. Partake in games such as pall-mall, the game of graces, battledore and archery. Practice your brushstrokes, learn how to embroider your handkerchiefs, learn the language of the regency fan, or the uses of herbs in the regency era.

Dance Kaleidoscope will be running a dance workshop at 10am if you want to arrive early and improve your dancing.

The entire afternoon will be filled with these activities and any other elegant endeavours you wish, as well as the opportunity to explore the Abbey Museum and tour the Abbey Church.

Afternoon tea will be served at 2:15, including tea and coffee, cool beverages, and a range of delicious sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and more.

This event is sure to be an afternoon of fun and beauty.

Tickets will be on sale from the Abbey Museum website from the 19th of May, so be sure to put the date in your calendar if you don’t want to miss out.
